Para Hills Clinic is a Fully Accredited General Practice with AGPAL, which means we uphold quality standards at all times.
Our aim is to provide the local community with a high standard of medical care, making it a healthier and happier place. We ensure our Doctors, Nurses and Reception Staff are well trained and keep our premises, equipment and technology up to date.
Accessibility is a priority and our billing policies reflect this commitment. We continue to offer a bulk billing service for those that meet the criteria and we keep our private fees well below that recommended by the AMA.
The patient rebate from Medicare was frozen from 2014 to 2018 and the most recent increase was below the consumer price index.
The widening gap is explained in the following link from the Australian Medical Association (please click me). The costs of running our private practice continue to rise and your patient Medicare Rebate represents a significantly lower amount than the cost of your GP Care.
The revised fee structure for the practice effective 1st March 2023
Gap fees will apply to all patients except in the following circumstances:
Week days 8.30am – 6.00pm
Weekdays after 6.00pm, Weekends and Public holidays
FULL FEE IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY
Please see reception for fee details
CONSULT FEE SCHEDULE BELOW
We require accounts to be paid in full (Medicare Fee and Gap Fee) on the day of consultation. Payments can be made by Cash, VISA, Mastercard and EFTPOS. In most cases, Medicare rebates can be credited back to your account immediately if you have an EFTPOS card with a cheque or savings facility. Account/Credit Line will not be offered to private patients.
Procedures, excisions, dressings etc will incur separate fee, please speak with our reception team for full details.
Not attending a consultation without prior notice denies another patient an opportunity to see their doctor/allied health professional. This causes an inconvenience to patients, clinicians and the practice.
The clinician and the practice reserve the right enforce a cancellation fee of up to $50.00 or to deny further clinical care to a patient who does not show up for their consultation without having given prior notice.
Patients requiring a reissue of a referral will need to make an appointment with their GP.
