Elizabeth is from Ireland. She studied medicine at University College Cork, graduating in 2007. She successfully completed a four-year vocational general practice training scheme in Ireland, graduating in 2012. Prior to studying medicine, she also qualified with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and worked in this field for a few years.
Elizabeth moved to Australia in 2013. She previously spent a year living in Australia prior to embarking on her career change to medicine. She very much enjoyed this experience and welcomed the opportunity to return to Australia. She was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013 and she has worked in general practice for Australian Family Care clinics since then.
Elizabeth enjoys providing comprehensive whole person- centred care in her day to day practice. She also values the continuity of care provided to patients in general practice and enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She likes the broad scope of the speciality of general practice but she also has a special interest in children’s health, women’s health, mental health, and preventative healthcare. Some of her other interests include music, travel, cycling, enjoying nature and the great outdoors.
