With a footprint of five practices across Adelaide, Australian Family Care is a group of medical practices united around a theme of excellence in general practice. We are a group of doctors, specialists, nurses and allied health professionals who work together in providing the best and most complete primary care possible.
Australian Family Care takes pride in being a teaching partner for the University of Adelaide and the South Australian GP training program.
This was the second practice in the Australian Family Care Group. The clinic has existed on this site for more than 25 years and has recently gone through an expansion and renovation program that increased its consulting rooms and the capacity for on-site phlebotomy service. The three practice doctors have skills in general practice, complex chronic disease management, diving medicine and women’s health. Allied health services include podiatry, dietetics, audiology and physiotherapy.
This was the first practice in the group. It provides services in general practice with a major focus on infant and maternal well being. Allied health to include psychology and dietetics .
The practice opened its doors in February 2014. It is located within a busy shopping centre in Salisbury East and has grown rapidly to become a popular clinic. The clinic has one full-time and one part-time doctor who also work out of one or more of our northern practices. The practice has the support of a practice nurse and an on-site phlebotomy service.
This purpose built medical facility has 15 GPs with varying general practice interests and 11 specialists (three cardiologists, two ENT surgeons, geriatrician, cholorectal surgeon, orthopedic surgeon, general physician, general surgeon, respiratory specialist). Allied health services include psychology, dietetics, audiology, podiatry, physiotherapy, exercise physiology and diabetes education. The practice has five full-time nurses that support in-practice clinical care, procedures as well as home visits. Abbot Pathology manage an on-site phlebotomy facility. The practice is open seven days a week and most services are bulk billed
Established in 2012, the clinic boasts eight GPs, five nurse and allied health services covering psychology, physiotherapy, dietetics, audiology, podiatry and exercise physiology in addition to weekly skin clinics and fortnightly cervical screening clinics. The clinic is open from Monday through to Saturday and has on-site pathology.
A new, purpose built six consult room practice in Salisbury Plains will open in December 2018.
